The solution can be derived as:
Since out of 25 pink, 15 orange, 12 white balls,there are maximum number of pink balls so up to the 25th ball also we would not be sure that we have got a pair of each.
So, We must take out 25 balls.
Even still taking out 27 balls also does not guarantee us,that the required condition is met.So,
The minimum number of balls to be drawn=25+15+2=42.
Since after withdrawing the 42nd ball we are 100% that we exhausted both the possibilities of withdrawing orange and pink balls ans we a pair of each ball with different colour.
