Let check amount be 100x+y
Cash given out = 100y+x
So, according to the given condition,
100y+x-50=3*(100x+y)
97y = 50+299x
Now, as x and y have to be integers
So, 50+299x has to be divisible by 97
So, 50+291x+8x has to be divisible by 97
So, 50+8x has to be divisible by 97
This happens when x = 18
