- Suppose the journey is of 120 km
As half of the journey, 60 km, is covered by train , TIME=DISTANCE/SPEED , time= 60/60 = 1 hour
remaining 60 km are divided into two parts , 30-30 km
first 30 km covered by bus ,time= 30/30 = 1 hour
second 30 km covered by cycle ,time = 30/10 =3 hours
total time taken is 1+1+3= 5 hours
total distance is 120 km
