A solid cbe of 4 inches has been painted red,green an black on pair of opposite faces.it has been cut into 1 inch cubes.how many cubes have only faces painted.

  three faces painted(corners)= 8
  two faces painted=(n-2)*12=(4-2)*12=24
  one faces painted=(n-2)^2*6=(4-2)^2*6=24
  no faces painted=(n-2)^3=(4-2)^3=8
  all painted cut=8+24+24+8=64
  4*4*4=64
  so only faces painted=24

  & if the question is that cubes having coloured face the the answer is =24
