There are 8 bags with same amount of weight.. But one of them is a bit more heavier than remaining. If you have a weighing machine which can measure any amount of weight... In how many least no of measures you can find the odd bag?

  (I) Weigh 4 - 4 bag, heavier 4 will be known
  (II) Weigh 2 - 2 bag among the heavier, heavier 2 will be known
  (III) Weigh 1 - 1 bag among the heavier, heavier 1 odd will be known

  explanation:divide the bags as 3,3 and 2.first weigh 6 bags keeping 3 on one side and 3 on another side.If the heavier bag is present in any of the these than the side which is weighing more , again keep 1 bag on one side and 1 bag on another side ,if the two sides are equal than the 3 bag is the heavier one or else if unequal than the side weighing more is the required one .
  case 2:if in starting the weight are equal , than the required bag is present in the rest 2 bags ,now weigh these two bags ,u will come to know the heavier bag

• take equal halves..the one having the bit heavier will be heavier than the other,continue the same..till it come from 4-4,2-2,1-1. So the least measure is 3times
