option
A. 1:4
B. 1:5
C. 5:1
D. None of the above
Read Solution (Total 13)

- As the profit is 25% and the selling price is 11, the cost price is 8.8.
Now, to find the ratio between the amount of non-ration and ration rice, we have to find the ratio of (Cost price - Ration price) and (Non-ration price - Cost price)
The required ratio is (8.8-8) : (10- 8.8)
The required ratio is 2:3 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(44) No(7)

- answer wud be D(None of these)
from the concept of allegation of mixtures 1st we will calculate the cost price of mixture
CP=(100/125)*11 = 44/5
ratio will be
10-(44/5):(44/5 -8)==3:2

- sp per kg=11rs
cp per kg=11(4/5)=44/5
ratio=((44/5)-8)/(10-(44/5))= 2:3
so= none of this is the answer - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(2)
- Ans. A...he buys 2kg wheat @ rs 8 therefore 1kg at rs.4,
c.p. of mean = (100/125)*11=44/5
10-44/5:44/5-4
6/5:24/5
1:4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(5)
- D. None of the above
If the wheat bought @10/kg =x
CP/kg of the wheat sold @11 with 25% profit=11*100/125=8.8 Rs.
So 10x+2*8=(10+2)*8.8, x= 8.96
Ratio of Quantity of non-ration to ration wheat=8.98/2= 4.49/1 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(5)
- selling price per kg=11rs
cp per kg=11(4/5)=44/5
ratio=((44/5)-8)/(10-(44/5))= 2:3
