Find the range of real values of x satisfying the inequalities 4x - 5 > 7 and 5x - 14 > 16"

Option
a) x > 3
b) x > 6
c) x < 3
d) x < 6

• 4x - 5 > 7 => 4x > 12 => x > 3 ...(1)
  and 5x - 14 > 16 => 5x >30 => x > 6 ...(2)
  Since 6 is greater than 3, for both inequalities namely (1) and (2) to be satisfied, x should be greater than 6 or x > 6.

  so to satisfie both equations 4x-5>7 and 5x-14>16 range of x should be x>6
