- Let the cost price of the dealer is 100 and the mark up price is 20, then the marked price is 120.There is a discount of 10%, so the selling price is 108
But the dealer is cheating 100 gms, so he is getting 1100 grams while buying and giving only 900 grams while selling
As the selling price of 900 grams is 108, the selling price of 1100 grams is 108 * 11/9 = 132
Now, the cost price of 1100 grams is 100 and selling price of 1100 grams is 132, so, the profit percentage is 132-100/100 *100 = 32%
Answer is 32%

- According to the question the dealer is buying
1100 g for rs 1000(100g more )
and sellling 900g for rs1080 ( 20% more than its actual price of 1000g and giving 10% discount on it)
So,
for Rs1000 he can buy 1100g,
so in Rs 1080 he an buy (1100/1000)*1080 = 1188g
and for Rs1080 he is selling 900g
therefore:
%profit= (1188-900)/900*100 = 32% - 4 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
