Q. The cost of 4 CD(s) is 4 more than the cost of a DVD. The cost of 1 CD(s) and a DVD is 10. What is the cost of a DVD?
Read Solution (Total 5)
-
- cost of CD =c and cost of DVD = d
so 4c = d+4 or 4c - d = 4-----(I)
c + d = 10 -----------------(II)
by solving the above two equation..
so 5c = 14
c= 14/5
cost of CD=2.80Rs
so d= 10 - 14/5
cost of DVD = 36/5 = 7.20Rs ANSWER - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(6) No(1)
- 4C=D+4
4C-D=4
C+D=10
solving equation, cost of dvd=7.2 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(1)
- 4c-d=4 eq(1)
c+d=10 eq(2)
eq(1)+eq(2) we get,
c=2.8,hence 2.8+d=10,or d=7.20(ans)

- 4c-d=4 eq(1)
c+d=10 eq(2)
eq(1)+eq(2) we get,
c=2.8,hence 2.8+d=10,or d=7.20(ans) - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- cost of a dvd x
cost of 4 cd(s) x+4
then cost of a cd 1/4(x+4)
1dvd+1cd=10
x+[1/4(x+4)]=10
4x+x+4=4*10
5x=36
x=7.20
cost of dvd=rs 7.20 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
