• let,expenditure per border is X.
  now,Total Expenditure 30X.
  borders increased by 10 total expenditure (30+10)*(X-2)=40X-80
  but total expenditure increased by 40.
  now, we can say, 40X-80=30X+40.
  then x=12
  now,original monthly expenses=30*12=360 Rs.
