18) A vessel contains a mixture of two liquids A & B in the ratio 4:1 . when 10liters of the mixture is replaced with liquid B, the ration becomes 2:3. How many liters of liquid A was present in the jar initially?
A) 12 liters
B) 14 liters
C) 16 liters

SOLUTION :
Let total solution be x.
At first solution contain A = 0.8x & B = 0.2x
10 litre replacement means we remove 8 litre A and 2 litre B with 10 litres of B
So equation is
(0.8x-8)/(0.2x+8) = 2/3
Or, x = 20
