den addition of two prime no is 13,n multiplication is 21,den wat r some of der squares?

• let the 2 numbers be x and y.
  (x^2+y^2+2*x*y)=(x+y)^2
  using this identity.
  x^2+y^2=127
  ans=127 :)

• Here have to use the formula
  (a+b)^2 = a^2 + b^2 + 2*a*b
  since have to find sum of the squares ie., a^2 + b^2
  given a+b = 13 , ab =21
  from formula, 13^2 = a^2+b^2 + 2*21
  169 = a^2+b^2 + 42
  so the ans is a^2 + b^2= 169-42 = 127
