Q. If a person having 1000 rs and he want to distribute this to his five children in the manner that each son having 20 rs more than the younger one , what will be the share of youngest child
Read Solution (Total 8)
-
- Assume first child (the youngest) get = x Rs.
According to the question ;
each son having 20 rs more than the younger one
Second child will get = x + 20 Rs
Third child will get = x + 20 + 20 = x + 40 Rs
Forth child will get = x + 20 + 20 + 20 = x + 60 Rs
Fifth child will get = x + 20 + 20 + 20 + 20 = x + 80 Rs
Total amount they got = 1000 Rs
x + (x+20) + (x+40) + (x+60) + (x+80) = 1000
5x + 200 = 1000
5x = 800
x = 160 Rs.
So the youngest child will get 160 rs - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(32) No(1)
- amount of five children can be assumed as
(x-2*20),(x-20),x,(x+20),(x+2*20)
total amount=1000
or (x-2*20)+(x-20)+x+(x+20)+(x+2*20)=1000
or 5x=1000
or 5x=1000
or x=200
share of youngest child=(x-40)=(200-40)=160

- suppose younger son get x rs then immediate elder brother will get x+20 and and his immediate elder brother will get x+40, similarly x+60 and x+80.
and sum of all is 1000,so x+x+20+x+40+x+60+x+80=1000
5x+200=1000
5x=800
x=160
so ans is 160 that is share of yongest brother. - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(1)

- Let younger one get x and he divided money into x, x + 20, x + 40, x + 60, x + 80.
x + x + 20 + x + 40 + x + 60 + x + 80 = 1000
5x + 200 = 1000
5x = 800
x= 160
Younger one gets 160. - 6 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- x+(x+20)+(x+40)+(x+60)+(x+80)=1000
x=160. - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(2)
- its 120 ,because 1000 /5=200 ,200-80=120

- Given:
The total amount of money = βΉ1000.
The father has 5 children.
The amount of money each child gets increases by βΉ20 for each successive child.
We need to find the share of the youngest child.
Letβs assume:
The youngest child gets βΉ
π₯
x.
The second youngest child will get βΉ
π₯
+
20
x+20.
The third youngest child will get βΉ
π₯
+
40
x+40.
The fourth child will get βΉ
π₯
+
60
x+60.
The oldest child will get βΉ
π₯
+
80
x+80.
Step 1: Set up the equation for the total amount distributed
The total money is βΉ1000. So, the sum of all the children's shares will be:
π₯
+
(
π₯
+
20
)
+
(
π₯
+
40
)
+
(
π₯
+
60
)
+
(
π₯
+
80
)
=
1000
x+(x+20)+(x+40)+(x+60)+(x+80)=1000
Step 2: Simplify the equation
Now, simplify the left-hand side:
5
π₯
+
20
+
40
+
60
+
80
=
1000
5x+20+40+60+80=1000
5
π₯
+
200
=
1000
5x+200=1000
Step 3: Solve for
π₯
x
Subtract 200 from both sides:
5
π₯
=
800
5x=800
Now, divide by 5:
π₯
=
160
x=160 - 15 Days agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
