Q. If in a certain code "RANGE" is coded as 12345 and "RANDOM" is coded as 123678, then the code for the word "MANGO" would be
A) 82357
B) 84563
C) 82346
D) 82347
Read Solution (Total 19)
-
- RANGE=12345 => R=1,A=2,N=3,G=4,E=5
RANDOM=123678 => R=1,A=2,N=3,D=6,O=7,M=8
so MANGO=82347
none of these - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(42) No(4)
- Consider
RANGE=12345
=> R = 1,
A = 2,
N = 3,
G = 4,
E = 5,
RANDOM=123678
=> R = 1,
A = 2,
N = 3,
D = 6,
O = 7,
M = 8,
Similarly
MANGO = 82347 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(14) No(0)
- Can anybody please tell me from where to study the data sufficiency type questions i mean which topic it includes??
- 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- guys in such type of question, the assigning of nos. to the correct letter is done by comparing the given words. for e.g.
RANGE --> 12345
RANDOM--> 123678
also RAN is common in both hence, we can deduce R=1, A=2, N=3.
from RANGE, G can be either 4 or 5 and E can be either 4 or 5.
From RANDOM, DOM --> 678, i.e. M =8, O=7 and D= 6
Now as already said that G can be either 4 or 5, but in choices only first choice fulfills all condition i.e. M=8,A=2,N=3,O=7 hence G=5.
therefore first option is the correct answer - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(3)
- None of this
- 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(1)
- M=8, A=2, N=3, G=4, O=7
Hence answer is 82347 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- ans is C
m is 8
a is 2
n is 3
g is 4
and o is 7
so none. - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(1)
- ans is A
as m for 8
so last check O for 7 only option is match - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(1)
- M-8, A-2, N-3, G-4, O-7.... So my answer is option (D)
- 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- 82346 acc to me it should be 82347 bt it's not option
- 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(2)
- answer is none of this
because answer is 82347 there is no option - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- none of these because..RANGE=12345 that is R=1,A=2,N=3,G=4,E=5
RANDOM=123678 that is R=1,A=2,N=3,D=6,O=7,M=8
therefore MANGO=82347
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- C because just put the values used above means AN code 23, M =8, G=4, O=7 Hence code is 82347
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- R=1
A=2
N =3
G=4
E=5 AND R=1,A=2,N=3,D=6,O=7,M=8
THEN MANGO =82347 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- RANGO=12345
RANDOM=123678
THEREFORE,
R=1
A=2
N=3
G=4
E=5
D=6
O=7
M=8
THEN,
MANGO=82347
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- option D 82347
- 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- The correct answer is D.82347.
Explanation:
As per the given data, the code for individual letters can be acquired such as R-1,A-2,N-3,G-4,E-5,D-6,O-7,M-8. So with these values substitute for MANGO as M-8,A-2,N-3,G-4,O-7.
Hope this is useful. - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- D) M-8
A-2
N-3
G-4
O-7 - 6 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- 82347 as the position of the other alphabets can be easily determined from the question.
