Q. What is the next no of following series
0,1,2,0.5,2,2,2,2,4,3,2

• The answer is 3.5 because the nos. in the series follow the below pattern.
  0+1/2=0.5 (0,1,2,0.5)
  2+2/2=2 (2,2,2,2)
  4+3/2=3.5 (4,3,2,3.5)
  And hence the next in series should be
  6+4/2=5

  0,2,4.....
  1,2,3.....
  2,2,2.....
  0.5,2... now the last series have a difference of 1.5 hence the next term in the series should be 3.5
  hence the answer is 3.5

  4+3=7/2=3.5
  SO ANS IS 3.5

• make a grp of for terms viz (0,1,2,0.5),(2,2,2,2),(4,3,2,?)
  now take the 1st term of each grp (0,2,4,?)=6
  now take the 2nd term of each grp(1,2,3,?)=4
  now take the 3rd term of each grp(2,2,2,?)=2
  now take the 4th term of each grp(0.5,2,3.5)
  answer is 3.5

  1,2,3,....2nd(next term for it would be 4)
  2,2,2.....3rd(next term 2)

• there are four series in d pattern as
  0,1,2 = [(0+1+2)/3] - 1/2 = 0.5
  2,2,2 = [(2+2+2)/3] = 2
  4,3,2 = [(4+3+2)/3] + 1/2 = 3.5
  now the first digit of series are 0 skip 1, 2 skip 3, 4 skip 5, then the first digit of the next series should be 6.
