Q. A weighing balance of unequal length bars. One kilogram on left pan is equal to 8 melonson the right pan. One kilogram on right pan equal to 2 melons on the left pan. What is theactual weight of the watermelon?

If there is wt. difference in pans is equivalent to x watermelons, then
1kg+x w.melons= 8 w. melons or 1 kg = 8-x water melons
1kg = 2+x w. melons
so 8-x= 2+x
2x=6
x=3 water melons
so 1 kg = 2+x=2+3=5 water melons
so 1 watermelon = 1/5 kg = 200 gms.
