Q. How many bearers will an explorer need for a 6 day march if each man can carry the food stuff of one man for 4 days.

• Ans: Minimum 2 bearers along with the explorer.
  At the end of first day all 3 are left with 3 days food each.On the second day one bearer returns back carrying one day food with him and gives the remaining 2 days food one each to explorer and the other bearer.Now the explorer and bearer have 4 packets each.At the end of second day the explorer & the bearer are left with 3 days of food.On third morning bearer returns back with 2 days of food with him and gives 1 day food to the explorer.Now the explorer will have 4 days of food and 4 days of journey which he can complete
