- 3 years ago, let jacob's age = A and John's age =B,
then
A=2B and A+6= (B+6)*4/3
solving these eqns , we get A =6
so present age of Jacob = 6+3= 9 years = 1001 years in Binary numbers - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(7) No(1)
- x be present age of jacob,y be present age of john.
3 years before: x-3=2(y-3) ...(1)
present jacob=x,john=y ...(2)
3 years hence: x+3=(4/3)*(y+3)....(3)
from (1) x=2(y-3)+3...(4)
substituting (4) in(3)
we get y=6
x=9
therefore
jacob=9 years - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(1)
