Q. The ratio of daily wages of two workers is 4 : 3 and one gets daily Rs 9 more than the other, what are their daily wages?
Option
(a)Rs 32 and Rs 24
(b)Rs 60 and Rs 45
(c)Rs 80 and Rs 60
(d)Rs 36 and Rs 27
Read Solution (Total 23)
-
- 36 and 27
let us take second worker wages= x
so from the given data
first worker wages= x+9
from the qstn we know that wages of first/ wages of second=4/3
so (x+9)/x = 4/3
==> 3x+27=4x
==> x=27
so x+9= 36
so the answer is 36rs and 27rs

- nothing to be done just read the question carefully...
by seeing the options clearly we can say(36-27)=9(diff. should b 9 given in the question.) - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(12) No(0)
- 4:3=X+9:X
then x=27
ans:36,27 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(0)
- ans is D, In D option we can see the difference 9 between workers unlike other options.
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- ratio is 4:3
9+x/x = 4/3
27+3x= 4x
x=27
9+x=> 9+27 =36
ans is 'd' - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- Very Simple Logic .. They said One gets Rd.9 more then Other ... In the given Option we can find only one Option which satisfies thi relation .. :)
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- ratio is 4:3
i.e let x/y=4/3
x=9+y
x=36 and y=27 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- ratio of two workers is 4:3
one gets daily wage is 9 more than the other means if one x means other is x+9
so 4x+9=3x
x=9
4x= 4(9)=36, 3x=3(9)=27 so the ans is 36 and 27 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- calculate the difference between the values provided in the options.ad the difference must be 9,option d become the answer

- d.36&27 with the help of ratios

- Ratio of their wages are 4x:3x so one worker daily is more than 9 so x=9
4*9:3*9=36,27 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- ratio of daily wages of two workers is 4 : 3
so w1=4x, w2=3x
one gets daily Rs 9 more than the other
4x-3x=9
x=9
There for 4*9=36
3*9=27 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- (d)36 and 27
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- let w1 and w2 be the two wages
->w1/w2=4/3
also given that w1=w2+9
->(w2+9)/w2=4/3
->1+9/w2=4/3
->9/w2=1/3
->w2=27....
now w1=27+9=36 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- given 4:3 ratio difference is 1......>
that difference 1 = 9,
4*9=36
3*9=27 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- on checking the options we can solve these type of questions easily 27+9=36 and their atio is 4:3 so answer is (d)
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- if one get x,then second one get x+9;
hence x+9/x=4/3
x=27;
x+9=36;
ANS is Rs 36 & RS 27 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- their difference is 9.option d only satisfy
36-27=9 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- x+9/x=4/3
4x=3x+27
x=27
x+9/x=36/27

- option : d
let us assume their wages 4x,3x one gets 9 more than other so we can write 4x-3x=9=>x=9
4*9=36,3*9=27 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- (d)Rs 36 and Rs 27
- 6 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- Option: (D)
Because 36-27=9 and also 36:27=4:3 - 2 Months agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
