Q. In an isosceles triangle, the sides are 13cm, 13cm, 10cm which is inscribed insiade a circle. Find the radius of the circle?
Read Solution (Total 4)
-
- sides are, a=13,b=13,c=10
s=(13+13+10)/2=18
area of triangle=[18(18-13)(18-13)(18-10)]^1/2 = (18*5*5*8)^1/2 =60 cm^2
R be the radius then it will be circumradius of triangle
R=(a*b*c)/(4*area of triangle)
R=(13*13*10)/(4*60)=7.04cm - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(1)

- perimeter of triangle= perimeter of a circle
13+13+10 = 2*pi*r
36 = 2*pi*r
pi*r = 18
r = 5.729 cm ans... - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- Given a=13 , b=13, c=10
So, According to triangle property:-
Area of the triangle=a*b*c/4R
where R is circumcenter
so area of triangle=[18(18-13)(18-13)(18-10)]^1/2 = (18*5*5*8)^1/2 =60 cm^2
R=a*b*c/4*area of the triangle
R=(13*13*10)/(4*60)
R=7.04 cm - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
