a dealer buys 4 varieties of rice costing rs. 40,rs.50,rs.60 and rs.70 per kg in the ratio 4:5:3:2 and mixes all the four varieties and sells at 40% profit. What is the selling price per kg of rice?

• CP = 40*4+50*5+60*3+70*2 = 730
  SP = 1.4*730=1022
  Total no.of kgs=4+5+3+2=14
  SP per kg=1022/14 = 73!

  40%of 730=gain
  gain=292
  s.p= 292+730=1022
  no. of kg's =4+5+3+2=14kg
  s.p per kg=1022/14=73...sushma i guess dis is how teza has done it..
