• Answer is 19 because if we do 2 tries there are chances that both the balls might be of same color.. it is the same for 13.. Therefore 19 tries. 11 yellow + 7 purple + 1 Yellow = 19.

• only 1 try ... as at the 1st trial we can select 2 balls and each 1 from blue and yellow(may be).
  minimum is 1 and maximum can go on...
  suppose if we replace every ball we take what is the assurance that at 19th trial or at 13th trial we will have 1 yellow and blue ball..
