- ans is 18
let w.d by akshay be x.
now kabir takes 10 day less than akshay to complete the work.
now (1/x+1/x-10)*12=1 we get x =30.
time taken by satyam= 30+15=45
time taken by satyam and akshay.
(1/45+1/30)*x=1 we get x=18 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(0)
- 18 days;
kabir=x days,akshay=x+10 days,sathyam=x+25days
so each day worx is 1/x,1/(x+10);1/(x+25) respectively
so 12 days for kabir and akshay=12(1/x+1/x+10)= total work so x=20days
then y((1/x+10)+(1/x+25))=1
so y=18days. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(1)
- K=a-10
s=a+15
k's 1 day work=1/a-10
s=1/a+15
k+s=1/(a-10)+1/(a+15)
a+15+a-10/(a2+15a-10a-150)=1/12
2a+5/(a^2+5a-150)=1/12
24a+180=a^2+5a-150 -150 = -10*(+15)
19a+330=a^2
a^2-19a-330=0 -330 = -30 *(+ 11)
(a-30)(a+11)=0
a=30
Akshay ll complete the work in 30 days
Kabir=30-10=20
Sathya=30+15=45
s+a 's 1 day work =1/45+1/30
= 75/1350 = 15/270 = 5/90= 1/18
Sathyam and akshay ll complete in 18 days
