(2250+5000)/2 = 3625

(5000+x)/2 = 5125
x=10250-5000=5250.

the common factor between the numbers is 250,so dividing it in even and odd series we can have for the odd series 2000 and 5000.dividing 2000 by 250 we have 8,dividing 5000 by 250 we have 20,again in the odd series 2250/250=9,then (9+12)*250=5250
