Two trains leaving from two station 50 miles away from each other with costant speed of 60 miles per hour, approaches towards each other on diffrent tracks. if lenght of each train is 1/6 mile. when they meet How much time they need to pass each other totally?

In this case the distance would be addition of lengths of trains.i.e 1/6+1/6=1/3

- they will meet at 25 miles found by considering at an instant both will be at apoint so time is same if one travels x distance other travels 50-x so using d/v=constant distance is found...as both are in opposite direction their speeds get added up as 120 miles/hr and length of train is 1/6 mile so time they travel together is distance/time=1/6/120=5 sec
