If the distance between A and B is 100m and that of B and C is 500. Then what is the distance between A and C ?

A. 600m
B. more than 600m
C. Between 500m and 600m
D. 700m

• i guess we should consider then in the form of triangle..then we get distance between them between 500 to 600..

• can we take pythagoras theorem,AC^2=AB^2+BC^2(ie) Taking square root of 100^2+500^2.we get the answer between 500 and 600

• if A,B,C colinear, then either B_A___C or A_B_____C, minimum 400 and maximun 600..
  but why everybody says between 500 and 600, i dont know..
  all of you consider a triangle..then how you get the information that it is a rightangle triangle??? u all use the formula AC^2=AB^2+BC^2, but how you came to know that there is a 90 degree angle???
