- If initial price is Rs. x and final price is 0.9x, then
(279/0.9x -(279/x)=6.2
(310-279)/x=6.2
x= 31/6.2= Rs 5
Diff between the original and the reduced price(per kg)= 5*0.1= Rs 0.5 = 50 paise - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(1)

- let total amount of sugar be x kg...so original price is 279/x per kg....n now it is 279/(x+6.2) per kg....now price has decreased by 10%...so 279/x-10%of279/x=279/(x+6.2)...we get x=55.8 kg...so difference is 5-4.5=.5rs..

- reduced price = 10%of 279=27.9
6.2kg more buy so 27.9/6.2=4.5
new rate =4.5
old rate=new*100/100-10
4.5*100/90=50 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
