- Hey friends,Please ignore my previous solution.
Its correct ans. will be:
7 strike of a clock have 6 intervals
while 10 strikes have 9 intervals.
Required time =(7/6 *9) seconds =10 1/2 seconds.
Because time is only moving ahead ! so when we say between 1 to 2 hours, that means we assume only 1 hours not 2 hours. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(17) No(8)
- ANS.-10807
1 hour=60 min i.e. 3600 sec
7 hrs+3 hrs=10 'o'clock
so, 3 hrs=3600*3=10800 sec
so it'll take 10807 sec to strike 10. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(6) No(10)

- I think the question is asked about a clock hand, no matter which one it is to strike 10, As it is given the the hand is on 7 then 15 seconds more to 10 i.e 15/60 mnts= .25 mnts

- 0.5 seconds.
The timer will start only at the first strike. So, the first strike really doesn't count. So, in striking 7, the 7-second interval is for the last 6 strikes. Since the strikes are spaced uniformly, it means each 3 strikes take 3.5 seconds.
To strike 10, it needs 1 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 10 strikes, which will require 0 + 3.5 + 3.5 + 3.5 = 10.5 seconds. - 6 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
