Roy's is now 7 yrs older than Erik and & 2 yrs older than Iris.If in 2 yrs,Roy will be twice as old as Erik, then in 2 yrs ,what would be Roy's age multiplied by Iris age?

- R=E+7=I+2
R+2=2(E+2)
(E+7)+2=2(E+2)
E=5 SO,R=5+7=12,I=12-2=10
SO,(R+2)(I+2)=14*12=168 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(14) No(2)
- let the present age of Erik be X yrs.
Roy's age= (X+7) yrs.
and iris is two years younger than Roy hence,
Iris' age= (X+5) yrs.
after 2 years
Roy's age= (X+9) yrs.
Erik's age=(X+2) yrs.
Iris' age= (X+7) yrs.
according to the question
2(X+2) = (X+9)
X=5
so Roy's age after 2 yrs= (X+9)=(5+9)=14yrs
and Iris age= (X+7)= 12yrs
so the multiplication of Roy's and Iris' age will be (14*12)=168

- take roy age will be x
erik x-7
iris x-2
in 2 years
x+2=2(x-7)+2
by solving this x=14
s0 roy=16 iris=14
16*14=224 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(4)
- Erik x
Iris y
Roy x+7 = y + 2
After 2 years
Erik x + 2
Iris y + 2
Roy x + 9 = y + 4
2(x+2) = x + 9; therefore x = 5 and y =10
Present age = E =5 R =12 I=10
After 2 years = E=7 R=14 I=12
R*I = 14 *12 = 168 = ANS

- let present age of Roy be 'x' years
so A/Q, present age of Erik and Iris is (x-7) and(x-2)years respectively
so after two years, age of Roy,Erik and Iris will be(x+2),(x-5)and x years respectively.
so A/Q
(x+2)=2(x-5)
on solving we get x=12
so Roy's age multiplied by Iris age two years from now= (x+2)*x
=(12+2)*12years
=168years

- let roy's age be x, erik be y and iris be z
roy is 7 yrs older than erik
it means x+7=y eqn 1, and also 2 yrs older than iris means x+2=z
solving these we get y=5-z
now in 2 yrs roy will be twice as old as erik
so
x+2=2y
put x=y-7 frm above eqn 1
we get y=5,
frm this we get x=12 and z = 10
now roys age multipled by iris age after 2 yrs
(10+2) * (12+2) =168 ans. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
