the difference between the ages of two of my three grandchildren is 3.my eldest grandchild is three times older than my youngest grandchild & my eldest grandchild's age is two years more than the ages of my youngest grand children added together.how old is my eldest grandchild?

• Let age of youngest child be x , then age of eldest child = 3x.
  if age of second child is y, then
  3x = y + x + 2 => y = 2x -2
  so ages are 3x , 2x-2 and x respectively.
  also difference between two of the child's ages is 3
  so 2x-2 -x = 3=> x = 5 , so 3x = 15
