Ratio and Proportion
The cost of making robot is divided into cost of material, cost of repairing and cost of painting in the ratio of 5:2:3. The cost used for material is 200. Find the total cost of making the robot?
Read Solution (Total 11)
-
- material:repair:painting= 5x:2x:3x
let total cost =200
cost for material is given as 200
total=10x
material = 5x/10x * (total)
200 = total /2
total =400 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(10) No(1)
- if total cost of making robot is x then
cost used for material based on ratio 5x/(5+2+3)=5x/10=200
then total cost x=400 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(6) No(0)
- the ration is 5:2:3
for material ratio is 5 and the cost is 200,so 200/5=40
for ratio 1 the cost is Rs.40
for repairing ratio is 2,so 2*40=80
for painting ratio is 3,so 3*40=120
therefore total cost is 200+80+120=400 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(0)
- let
cost of materal be =5x
reparing =2x
paintng = 3x
given 5x=200
where x=40
submit in 2x and 3x respectively u ill get 80 and 120
now add 200+80+120=400 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(2)
- Let total cost be x then,
given that material cost is 200 i.e., 5x/(5+2+3) = 200. On solving we get x = 400
Then total cost will be 5x + 2x + 3x
Therefore 5*400+2*400+3*400 = 4000 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(4)
- assume 5x:2x:3x
here given 5x=200
x=40;
2x=2*40=80;
3x=3*40=120;
hence total cost is 200+80+120=400 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(2)
- m:r:p=5:2:3
let total cost = x
given 5x/10=200
so, x =400

- let the total cost be x.
now (5*x)/10=200
on solving x=400. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(1)
- material cost = ratio of material / sum of ratio * total cost of robot
200 = 5/(5+2+3)*Q
200 =5/10 *Q
200*10 =5Q
2000/5=Q
400 = Q i.e. the total cost of making robot - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- cost for material =200
cost of repairing+cost of painting=5
so 200/5=40
The cost of repairing=2*40=80
The cost of painting=3*40=120
total cost=200+120+80=400
