A, E, F, and G ran a race.
A said “I did not finish 1st /4th
E said “I did not finish 4th”
F said “I finished 1st”
G said “I finished 4th”
If there were no ties and exactly 3 children told the truth, when who finishes 4th?

• It is told that exacly 3 children say truth and one of them has lied. So, there are 4 cases possible:-
  Case 1:A lied i.e. G says truth and he finished 4th
  Case 2:E lied again G says truth so he is 4th
  Case 3:F lied i.e. same as above G says truth so he must be 4th
  Case 4: G lied i.e. he did not finished 4th. Now other 3 must be saying truth. so A is not 4th , E is also not 4th and F says he is 1st so he is not 4th..This contradicts the assumption that G lied and others said truth since one of them must be 4th. So, this case is not possible.
  Therefore, according to first 3 cases, G must be 4th.

  if A is lying then A must be 1st or 4th but F and G are not lying so A cannot be either 1st or 4th. Hence A is not lying
  
  if E is lying : he must have ended as 4th but again G is saying the truth that he ended 4th. hence not possible
  
  if F is lying then he must ve ended 2 or 3rd. this is a possible condition
