• The cuboid to be formed according to the given conditions consists of 16 small symmetric faces(4*4).
  Total no. of red faced cubes are 40. The number cubes that are edge of the two adjacent red surfaces are 4. But, we have 2 such edges. Hence, total number of double red faced cubes are 8.
  Hence, the no of red cubes which have red on only one face are= 40-8, i.e. 32

  So there fore 24 cubes painted on only one face
  out of 6 faces 3 faces painted with red. 2 with yellow and 1 with green
