- According tothe problem,
At first the clock is correctly set at noon.
Then it loses 10 mins after 1 hour.
actual time= 1pm clock shows=12.50pm
then again after 1 hour,
actual time=2pm clock shows=1.40pm
then again after 1 hour,
actual time= 3pm clock shows=2.30pm
we have to find the actual time when it shows 3pm
so it will take another 30 mins to reach 3pm meanwhile in this 30 mins it will slow down 10/2 i.e 5 mins more.
so 30+5=35 mins more to reach 3pm.
so actual time= 3.35pm when it reads 3pm
