Age Problem
If A's age is 4 yrs more than B's age and 2 yrs more than C's age. After 2 yrs A's age will be twice of B's age. Then find the current ages of A,B & C
Read Solution (Total 10)
-
- A=(B+4)=(C+2) ----(1)
after two years
(A+2)=2*(B+2) [put,A=(B+4)]
=> B=2
so, from(1) A=(B+4)=6 , C=(A-2)=4
A=6 yrs, B=2 yrs, C=4 yrs - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(43) No(2)
- A=B+4=C+2
we can write B=A-4 & C=A-2
AFTER 2 YEARS A+2=2(B+2)
A+2=2(A-4+2)
A+2=2A-4
A=6
B=2
C=4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(0)
- A = 6
B = 2
C = 4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- 6,2,4
2+4=6
2(2+2)=6+2
6-2=4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- What was ur approach ??
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- A=B+4=C+2
A+2=2B
ON Solving first and second equation
a=6 ;b=2 ;c=4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- age of b =x
age of a=x+4
age of c=x+2
aftr 2 yrs:x+6=2(x+2)
x=2(b's age)
a's age=6
c's age=4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- we get a=b+4 and a=c+2
after two years a+2=2(b+2)==>a-2b=2 we hav a=b+4 solving this two we get a=6,b=2
substituing in a=c+2 we get c=4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- a=6 b=2 c=4
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- a=b+4
a=c+2
after 2 year
b+4+2=2(b+2)
b=1
a=5
c=3 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
