A dealer buys dry fruits at Rs. 100, Rs. 80 and Rs. 60 per kilogram. He mixes them in the ratio 3: 4:5 by weight, and sells at a profit of 50%. At what price per kilogram does he sell the dry fruit?
Read Solution (Total 12)
-
- Ans 115 because he buys 12 kg at 920 & sold it at 50% profit i.e at (920+460) 1380 so price of 1kg is 1380÷12 = 115.

- let us consider the dry fruits of rs.100*3,80*4,60*5.he sells a profit of 50%
that means 100+50=150
(100*3)+(80*4)+(60*5)=910
910*(150/100)=1380
we have to find for only 1kg but the above answer is for (3+4+5=12)kg.so it gives the solution 1380/12=115 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(17) No(3)
- S.p=(100+50)% × c.p
=(150/100) ×920
=1380
12kg is sold at 1380
1kg=1380÷12
=115. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(8) No(1)
- (100*3+80*4+60*5)/12=76.6..
76*150%=114

- Ans 115
let the common number of ratio be a
then assuming 1 kg of dry fruits are sold
3a+4a+5a=1 (sum of weight of all types of dry fruit)
we get a=1/12
therefore C.P.= (100*3/12)+(80*4/12)+(60*5/12)=920/12
profit = 50%
S.P.=1.5*C.P= 1.5*920/12= 115 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(0)
- ANS. 115 Rs.
cost of 12 kgs = (3x100)+(4x80)+(5x60) = 920 Rs.
sell of 12 kgs. = 920 x 1.5 = 1380 Rs.
price / kg = 1380/12 = 115 Rs - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- 12 kg at 920 & sold it at 50% profit i.e at (920+460) 1380 so price of 1kg is 1380÷12 = 115.

- from given data
c.p will be calculated as (3*100+4*80+5*60)/12 for 1 kg of dry fruits
so c.p=920/12
now s.p=c.p+ 50% of c.p
s.p=920/12+ 920/12*50/100
s.p=115 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)

- The tea costs rs920 /12 kg.i.e. 230/3 per kg.he sells it @a profit of 50%
So s.p. = 230/3+115/3=rs. 115/kg - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
