- LET THE AGE OF FATHER IS 'F'
SON IS 'S'
NOW GIVEN THAT
F=13S
F-13S=0.......(1)
1/3(F+10)=S+10
F+10=3S+30
F-3S=20....(2)
BY SOLVING EQ 1 AND 2
WE GET
SON AGE =2YR
FATHER AGE =26YR

- let son age be x
then father age is 13 times of son means 13x
after 10 years
the age of son will be x+10 and father =13x+10
where condition is son age is one third of father that means
(13x+10)/3=x+10
13x+10=3(x+10)
13x+10=3x+30
therefore 10x=20 and x=2
then present father age = 13x = 13(2)=26
present son age =x=2
