A company organzied a help desk.there have been done 24 hrs work on software,17 hrs on help user nd 40% on other services.find the total no. of hrs have been worked on that day?
Read Solution (Total 15)
-
- let total no of hrs = x
they have done 24+17=41
40% of x is 40/100=2/5
x=41+2x/5
x=68.3 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(57) No(1)
- Let total number of hork has been done is xhrs
work done on other services is x*40%= 2x/5hrs
(software work+help user work)done = (24+17)=41hrs
Then x-2x/5 = 41
x = 68.30hrs(ans)

- 24 hr work in that software.
and 17 hrs spend on users mean 24-17=7 hrs left nw 40% of this 7 hrs spend on others services so 17+2.8=19.8 ans.. - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(7) No(0)
- ans-68.3hrs
41=x-2x/5
x=68.3hrs(ans) - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- ans=68.33
24+17=41
60% of x=41
x=(41*100)/60
x=68.33

- 24 hrs
because a day consist of 24 hours and that company's software section works for whole day i.e 24 hours
mean while it does services and help user also . So that is not going to include in that hours . - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(1)
- 40% work means the remaining work is 60%
so 24+17=41
41 is the 60% of work
60/100x=41
x=68.3 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)

- @SIREESHA..
I think Work is Not done By a single Person...
it would be a group of member 1 person = 24 hrs.. if 3 person works it would be reduced to 8 hrs like that... Correct me If Iam Wrong - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- question is given for 1 day....so the answer should be 19.8 hr
