- Liquid remaining at the end of first day = 2/3
Liquid remaining at the end of first day = (2/3)*(1/4)
= 1/6 - 14 years agoHelpfull: Yes(15) No(2)
- Since on the first day the volume evaporated 1/3 so two third will be present on the second day
On the second day from the 2/3 3/4 gets evaporated so we get (3/4)*(2/3)=1/2 hence at the end of second day 1/2 will be present

- Since on the first day the volume evaporated 1/3 so two third will be present on the second day
On the second day from the 2/3, 3/4 gets evaporated so we get2/3- (3/4)*(2/3)=1/6 hence at the end of second day 1/6 will be present

- on first day remaining liquid=(1- 1/3)
on second day again 3/4th of remaining liquid evaporates=( 1- 1/3)*3/4= 1/2
hence total water remains=1-1/3-1/2= 1/6 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(8) No(0)

- on day one 1/3rd of the liquid evaporates.so remaining liquid= 1-1/3=2/3..
on day two 3/4 of 2/3 evaporates ie. 3/4*2/3=1/2 evaporates..
now total liquid evaporated till day two=1/2+1/3=5/6..
so remaining liquid=1-5/6=1/6 ans.. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(0)

- on first day 1/3 will evaporate so the liquid remain in vessel is 2/3.
on second day 3/4 of the liquid will evaporate so the solution evaporate is 2/3*3/4=1/2.
SO THE LIQUid remain is 1-1/3-1/2=1/6 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)

- Let initial volume is x,
then,
Remaining volume after 1st evaporation= x-x/3= 2x/3;
after 2nd evaporation= 2x/3*3/4= x/2
Volume remaining finally= x- (x/2+x/3)= x/6 Ans.
i.e 1/6 of initial volume present at end - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(2)
- Let the vessel contain x liter of the liquid.
1st day => liquid evaporate = x/3 and liquid left = 2x/3
2nd day => liquid evaporate = 2x/3 * 3/4 = x/2,
liquid left = 2x/3 - x/2= x/6
Fraction of the volume present at the end of second day
=> (x/6)/x = 1/6
