  thus we need to find y first to get the value of x ..
  
  thus consider only 2nd term of each group ...

  now 7-4 = 3 -| 3-1 = 2
  4-3 = 1 -|
  3-5 = -2 -| 1-(-2) = 3
  i.e. 5-y = k -| -2-k=4 -> k=-6
