Three numbers are in the ratio 2:3:4. If the sum of their squares is 1856, find the numbers.

(x^2+y^2+z^2) = ((2a)^2+(3a)^2+(4a)^2) = 1856
(4a^2+9a^2+16a^2 = 1856
=> 29a^2 = 1856
a^2 = 1856/29=> a^2 = 64
a = 8
x = 2a => 2*8 = 16
y = 3a => 3*8 = 24
z = 4a => 4*8 = 32

- Let the numbers be 2x ,3x, 4x
Given (2x)^2+(3x)^2+(4x)^2=1856
=> 29x^2=1856
=> x^2=64
=> x=8
