A basket contains 3 bananas and 4 apples. In how many ways can select one or more fruits?

• In 3 bananas, we can select: 0 or 1 0r 2 or 3 bananas =4 ways
  In 4 Apples ,we can select: 0 or 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 apples =5 ways
  => Bananas or apples are selected=5*4 ways=20
  => But condition is ,we can select one or more fruits,so(zero banana and zero apple combination is omitted)

  (p+1)*(q+1)-1 = (3+1)*(4+1) - 1
  =4*5-1
  =20-1
