total = 9x

total = 9x+17+20
Avg => x = 9x+17+20/11

2x = 37 ==> x= 37/2
x = 18.5 => x = 18 1/2 years => x = 18 yrs 6 months

Total age of 11 players including 2 new players
total = 9x+y
Given : new average decreased by 1/6 years
9x+y/11 = x-1/6
9x+y/11 = 37/2-1/6 [Sub x=37/2]
9x+y = 407/2 - 11/6
6(9*37/2+y) = 1221 - 11 ==> 54*37/2 + y = 1210
999 + 6y = 1210
6y = 211 ==> y = 35
New Avg = 9*37/2+35/11 = 403/22 => 18 7/22 years => 18 yrs 3.8 months
New avg = 18yrs 4 months
