expenditures of A and B is 4:5 .Find the ratio of their savings
Read Solution (Total 3)
-

answer is cannot be determined - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(1)
- lets take the income of A=3k
lets take the income of B=4k
as welllas expenditures are 4x,5x
savings =income-expenditures
so savings ratio is =3k-4x/4k-5x;
now equate the aboue ratio with the given options only one option will satisify
the equation
the options are
A)9:10 B)3:4 c)13;20 D)4:5
option a 3k-4x/4k-5x=9/10;
if we solve the abouve we will get x=-6/5k income should not be negative
so option a is wrong
solve the remaining similarly then we will get the solution

- income ratio is 3:4
then we suppose that 30000 and 40000.
now exp ratio is 4:5
so we subtract 24000 from 30000 and 30000 from 40000.
now both have remaining amount is 60000 and 10000
so savivg ratio 3:5
ANSWER == 3:5 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(8)
