  fraction= (r^3/8)/(r^3)

• let the radius of earth is r so the same of mars will be r/2.
  then volume of earth is 4/3(pi*r^3)
  mars volume is 4/3(pi*(r/2)^3)=(pi*r^3)*4/(3*8)
  so 1/8th volume of earth is mars volume.

  Vol of mars=4/3pie(r/8)^3
  So vol of mars is 1/8 of earths volume
