I need help solving the quadratic word problem:
Find three consecutive even integers such that the square of the sum of the smaller two is equal to twice the largest.
So far I... let x = the first integer, x+2 = the second integer, x+4 = the third integer.

If first integer=x,second=x+2, third=x+4
Given,[x+(x+2)]^2=2(x+4)
It will be 2x^2+3x-2=0 and not 2x^2-3x-2=0

If first integer=x,second=x+2, third=x+4
Given,[x+(x+2)]^2=2(x+4)
2x^2-3x-2=0
(2x+1)(x-2)=0, x=2
