. Two trains from the points A and B moving in opposite direction, at the point they meet the second train travels 120 kms more than the first train. The speeds of the trains are 50kmph and 60kmph respectively. Find the distance between points A and B?

• Suppose they met after time t, then
  60t-50t = 120
  10t=120
  t=12 hrs.
  so both trains travelled for 12 hrs and total distance travelled by 2 trains is 12*(50+60) = 12*110 = 1320 kms.

• the difference in speed of both trains =10km/h
  let train A covers x km.
  then train B covers x+120 km.
  so if we divide 120 km by difference , we can know how many hrs train A and B travels.
  120/10=12 hr.
  both trains runs for 12hrs so,
  distance covered by train A = x =50*12=600
  distance covered by train B = x +120 =600 +120 =720
  totals distance covered by both trains = 1320 = total distance between two points.

• IN 1 HOUR first travels 60 km,in 1 hour second train travel 50 km.
  
  therefore first train travel extra distance of 10 km,when total distance travelled = (50 + 60)= 110 km .
  when first train travel 10 km more ,total distance = 110 km
  when first train travel 120 km more, total distance= ( 110* 120)/10 = 1320 km(ans)

  then second train will travel the distance x+120
  they met each other after t time
  so ((x+120)/60)=(x/50)
  x=600
  but the between two point is x+x+120
  =2x+120
  =2*600+120
  =1320 km
