• Total No of smaller cubes = 10^3 - 8^3 = 1000- 512 = 488
  No of faces of smaller cubes = 488*6 = 2928
  If 3 face of the outer surface of the cube are painted,then total 300 faces of smaller cubes are painted.
  No of faces of the smaller cubes remain unpainted = 2928-300 =2628
