A rectangle originally was 8 cm by 17 cm. When both dimensions were decreaseed by the same amount the area decreased by 66cm squared. Find the dimension of the new rectangle.

The Area of rectangle=8*17=136
If dimensions decreased by 'x' cm, Area=136-66 =70 cm
So (8-x)(17-x)=70
x^2-25x+66=0
(x-22)(x-3)=0, x=3
Dimension of new rectangle=8-3=5 & 17-3=14
