- Let the total work to do 108.so 12 boys can do 108/18=6 unit work a day.so 1 boy can do 6/12=1/2 unit work in one day.now 12 boys work for 6 days and do 36 unit work.so left 72 unit work.now there is (12+4)=16 boys..so dey can do 8 unit work in a day.so there is needed 72/8=9 days.ans.
